Electronic reporting of childcare hours
DaisyFamily is a daily communication channel between guardians and early childhood education. Childcare times are announced in this communication channel.
Logging into the DaisyFamily service application either with
- an Internet browser https://uusikaupunki.daisyfamily.fi or
- by downloading the DaisyFamily application from the Android or Apple phone app store

Guardians must submit childcare schedules electronically in advance
- Locking time related to childcare time reservations: Childcare time reservations are made no later than about one and a half weeks in advance. For example, week 39 childcare time reservations are announced by midnight on Friday, week 37
- For shift care, the locking time according to the "Basics of Shift Care" instructions is followed for childs daycare time reservations. Childcare time reservations are made three weeks in advance. For example, week 33-35 childcare time reservations are announced by midnight on Friday, week 31. After this, changes and reservations must be reported to the child's daycare/care center.
- The booked daycare day uses the child's monthly hours, even if the child does not show up.
- We hope that care time reservations are always made for at least a month beforehand, if possible
- It is important to make care time reservations, even if the care times are always the same!
- Any excesses in the monthly care need are automatically invoiced, so remember to leave at least 2 hours of flexibility when making reservations for unexpected changes.
The child's used care time is visible in the booking calendar and in the invoicing basis that opens there.
Invoicing is based on the care contract. Changes to the care contract must be reported at least a week before the start of the next calendar month.
If the actual hours are exceeded in two consecutive calendar months, the next higher fee category according to the hours used will be invoiced.
